Hungarian delegation headed by Norbert Konkoly, in which our executive director was a member, held talks with the leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow on 10 February. The parties exchanged views of trade and economic relations between the two countries. Sergey Katirin, president of the chamber, explained that Hungarian-Russian and economic cooperation has been developing successfully in recent years, despite the slight decline in trade last year.
Norbert Konkoly, Ambassador of Hungary to Moscow, stressed that one of the most important tasks of the Embassy is to comprehensively support the development of trade and economic cooperation between Hungary and Russia. At the same time, he drew attention to the growth of Hungarian business in Russia, which is also shown by the opening of the Hungarian Export Development Agency's office in Moscow.
President of the Hungarian-Russian Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Executive Director of MIB Invest Group Kft., István Szekeres spoke about the fact that the committee he leads helps not only the export of Hungarian companies, but also the implementation of Hungarian investment projects in Russia and the investment of Russian entrepreneurs in Hungary.
